Author's Note: I had fun with the layout for this page. Does it show? I've been wanting to do a simultaneous split-screen two-conversation type of thing for a while now, and this is the perfect scene for it. (No, don't worry -- if I want to play around with art and layout techniques, I won't ever write in extraneous scenes to indulge myself. Really.) The hardest part is conveying all the information I want to in what basically amounts to half the space. Tough, but fun. :)
