It's really unbelieveable how much research is needed to convey an accent well -- you'd think it would just be a question of spelling changes and such, but there's also diction, pacing, and a host of other things to factor in. That and making sure that the final product is still readable when you're done...

Y'know, Del really, really needs to learn when to keep his mouth shut, but I truly doubt he ever will. I think that's what makes him so fun to write for... he knows he shouldn't do something, but just can't help it. It's been a while since he's been a jerk, so I figured he should have a chance. :D
